The History Of Bodybuilding With Randy Roach On Maximus Radio

Posted by | 0 comments

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Arthur Jones, Steroids and lots of Muscle!

Some would call it the “Golden Age of Bodybuilding”

In this podcast Randy Roach and I discuss the history of bodybuilding. Randy is the author of Muscle, Smoke and Mirrors which is a three volume set, each over 600 pages.

We discuss Arthur Jones and the whole Nautilus thing, I ask Randy if Arthur didn’t use the Mentzers for their experiments and used an average Joe, would you think they would have gotten the same results? Randy’s honest and frank answer will surprise you.

Received the following endorsement today:

“Muscle Smoke and Mirrors” is well written, comprehensive and thorough. It will stand witness to what took place in the broad scheme of the muscle world and is a great credit to its writer. I have now read the first two volumes with interest and look forward to the third. Thank you for your generous comments on Pumping Iron, the book and the eponymous movies. Onward.

George Butler,
Producer of Pumping Iron

On January 30, 2012 I was honoured to have been a guest of Dominik Feischl, a fitness journalist from Austria and co-owner of the fitness radio podcast www.power-quest.cc.

Dominik is based in Austria and has a significant European audience.  I thoroughly enjoyed doing his show and he has invited me back for part 2 in the future.

I’ll have the interview up as soon as it’s ready.
